The Child Care project is a self-supported activity, which started in 2000. It evolved because of the felt need to provide free ART to children with HIV along with other care and support activities. No free ART was available for children when the project started. There was also lack of knowledge among health care providers regarding HIV disease in children. We developed expertise in the same and started providing clinical care to children living with HIV. The project is sustained through organizational resources and individual donations.
