Women and HIV: issues, concerns, responses and coping

This was a very short and intense study to:

  • Document the issues, concerns, problems and felt needs of the women directly and/or indirectly affected by HIV.
  • Document the issues, concerns, problems and felt needs of the women directly and/or indirectly affected by HIV.
  • Understand overall knowledge, attitude and perceptions about HIV in community and study its relation to care, support, stigma and discrimination.
  • Propose a model of integrating HIV/AIDS related issues in the RCH services.

Type of study: Mixed methods. Qualitative in-depth interviews with women coming to Prayas clinic and quantitative survey among general population.
