ABSTRACT

The article briefs about vigilant medical advertising in medical journals. Absence of stringent laws on advertisements in medical journals can lead to rampant use of untrustworthy, less effective methods or medications which can be prescribed by physicians to their patients solely because of their publication in a medical journal. Hence This article attempts to highlight the need to introduce laws and the need for highest ethical standards of advertising and to determine the eligibility of products and services for advertising.
